Le jeu c'est de trouver ce qui va à la place des (?) lol : Pas facile ton jeu Jen !!
Morning, morning Sun begins its rising And the rhyming birds are singing I found this in the forest The water lays in silence and the peaceful bells are ringing I'm deep on the ground and the sky again I'm on my knees and crying
Surrounded by the guns and machetes are heavy (pas sûre car on entend jamais le "h") There's far too many for any Where you're getting at now? Falling to the ground The forest, the forest All ashes (So) awful dead bodies and masses (je rajoute un "so" pas très clair, mais j'entends trop un son "s" par là) We're never right no (pas sûre) Say it love, love (ce serait pas "save love" ?)
Drawning, I'm drawning Its red water's always rising And the war is never ending Why Hungry, you are hungry All you need is money Just to get by within the system Why One man is ruling the human race Stronger (for/from the ?) inside his cage Oh fought the men (pas sûre)
These guns and machetes are heavy There's far too many for any Where you're getting at now? Falling to the ground The forest, the forest All ashes (So) awful dead bodies and masses We're never right no (pas sûre) Say it love, love
You reach your life to open skies And finally you realise To what you have gone son Finally you see the sun And finally you realise What you do run from As finally you open your eyes And finally you realise You put down your weapon
Cos you can't run from the sun x11 You can't run You can't run
These guns and machetes are heavy There's far too many for any, for any, for any... The forest, the forest All ashes (So) awful dead bodies and masses, and masses...

| Hey everyone! It's Mel from the Mr. Therapy Man Fansite Wing Yie told me about how you guys are working on his lyrics, too. We've been working on his lyrics for a while now as well, and so I just wanted to share what we got for Guns & Machetes. Anyway, we can all work together on the lyrics, if you guys want to. This is based on the Phoenix show in Toronto:Morning, morning Sun begins its rising and the robin birds are singing ? and forest Water lays in silence and the peaceful bells are ringing Deep on the ground under a sky again I'm on my knees and crying Surrounded by the guns & machetes Sky heavy, there's far too many for any Way of getting out now We'll crawl onto the ground Forest to forest of ashes Soulful dead bodies and masses You don't have the right, no Oh love, say love Drowning, I’m drowning This red water’s always rising and the war is never-ending How hungry, how hungry All you need is money just to get by within the system How one man is ruling the human race Stronger golden bars inside this cage Oh for the many guns and machetes Sky heavy, there's far too many for any Way of getting out now We'll crawl onto the ground Forest to forest of ashes Soulful dead bodies and masses You don't have the right, no Sayin’ love x2 Justin seems to change the following part at different gigs. This one is from the Toronto show: - Citation :
- Raise your arms to open skies
Then you have to realize To what you have done, son Finally you see the signs Finally you realize To what you do run from Finally you cannot hide Finally you realize To put down your weapon You can’t run from the sun x12 This one is from the Lyon, France show. - Citation :
- Reaching out to open skies
Finally you realize To what you have done, son Finally you cannot hide Finally you realize To what you do run from Finally see the signs Finally you realize To put down your weapon You can’t run from the sun x12 Guns and machetes Sky heavy, there's far too many for any Forest to forest of ashes Soulful dead bodies and masses Love love love love Love love love love

| This is what I think, after listening a few times more, and reading the various lyrics posted.
GUNS AND MACHETES Morning, morning Sun begins its rising and the robin birds are singing I found these in the forest [not sure because, what did he find, the guns and machetes?] Water lays in silence and the peaceful bells are ringing
Deep under ground but there is sky again [doesn't make much sense to me.] I'm on my knees and crying Surrounded by the guns and machetes Sky heavy, there's far too many for any Way of getting out now We'll crawl onto the ground Forest to forest of ashes Soulful/So full dead bodies and masses [with 'so full' I'd expect to hear with/of following it, but I don't hear it] You don't have the right, no Oh love, say love
Drowning, I’m drowning This red water’s always rising and the war is never-ending Hungry, you are hungry All you need is money just to get by within the system How one man is ruling the human race Stronger grow bars inside this cage of the men [not sure about 'of the men' but he is definitely singing something]
These guns and machetes Sky heavy, there's far too many for any Way of getting out now We'll fall onto the ground Forest to forest of ashes Soulful/so full dead bodies and masses You don't have the right, no Sayin’ love x2
(From the Toronto Phoenix show) Raise your arms to open skies Then you'll have to realize To what you have done son Finally you see the signs Finally you realize To what you do run from Finally you cannot hide Finally you realize To put down your weapon You can't run from the sun 12x
Guns and machetes Sky heavy, there's far too many for any Forest to forest of ashes Soulful/so full dead bodies and masses
Love love love love Love love love love

I found these in the forest [not sure because, what did he find, the guns and machetes?] I guess "these" stands for the "birds". - wingyie a écrit:

Raise your arms to open skies Then you'll have to realize To what you have done son
I'm pretty sure it's "To what you have gone, son" - sounds more logical to me.

| Yeah but there's "to" at the begining of the line. So "to what you have gone" makes more sense to me | |

I agree! It has to be gone because it's always "to go to" whereas "to do to" isn't correct English Edit pour Nanie : Ca veut dire "Et soudain(ement) tu réalises (te rends compte) ce vers quoi tu es allé"

| wait, hmm, this is getting very grammatical...so I'm not sure, but if it's 'gone' then shouldn't the sentence be: 'realize where you have gone to'? 'realize to what you have gone' doesn't seem grammaticaly correct. Then again, 'to what you have done' doesn't seem grammaticaly correct either. Is it really 'to'? Or maybe 'too'? 'Finally you realize too, what you have done'??? But if so, I don't think it flows well. I listened again, and do here a quite clear 'done'. Justin phrases it like 'done'. The 'o' in 'gone' sounds differently. Hmm, maybe Justin is just putting in a 'meaningless' word to make the line more smoothly haha.
OK, I'm going crazy. Anyway, if you look at this video: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2gUMcjpVfE The way his mouth moves really does look more like 'done' than 'gone', or maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see. Ahh, blabla lol.
